The Stopgap is a short documentary which follows a handful of New Yorkers who stepped up to help with the shortages of personal protective equipment in the spring of 2020. Feeling powerless to the pandemic's fury and seeing how essential masks and face shields were for frontline workers, these innovators formed networks to source materials, produce and distribute PPE to the people who needed it so desperately.
The film premiered at the Big Apple Film Festival in NYC in May 2021.
